Cornell Note Taking
Cornell education professor Walter Pauk came up with this method of note taking in the 1950s, and it's still one of the most popular systems of note taking today.  The Cornell method of note taking is basically a system of setting up your page to allow for notes as you read or listen, notes to pull out big ideas or questions, and notes to summarize what you just learned.
